Over the years I have found myself traveling more than ever and making a lot of mistakes when it comes to picking my en route outfit. Although going on a trip can sometimes be stressful, picking out what you are going to wear can be very fun! I always try to look my best when traveling, but also stay comfortable. I never know where I am going to get swept off to once I arrive, so I have to be prepared.
No matter what season I am traveling, I always find that I am freezing on the way to my destination. In order to combat any extreme temperatures, I plan my outfit in layers. This can also be helpful if the weather at your destination is warmer or cooler.
Shoes are very important decisions. They must be cute but practical. I have tried to travel in heels, but I have learned the hard way that this is not the best choice. A ballet flat or loafer will due the trick.
It is also important to pick fabrics that don’t wrinkle easily, you don’t want to arrive looking all crumpled. This is why I usually stick to a chic skinny jean instead of a skirt. As far as make-up goes, I usually try to keep it simple, but reapplying a fresh coat of lipstick can really liven up your look and keep you fresh.
Overall, color choice should be neutral because you may be transitioning from day to night during your travels.
