Walk a Mile in Her Shoes

On October 1, male students, fathers and brothers at Ohio University participated in Walk a Mile in Her Shoes. The event raises awareness about the role men play in preventing sexual assault. Even though it was raining, guys came out ready to strut their stuff in their stilettos and platforms. It was really amazing to see so many men participating and made me so proud to be a part of a community that is actively fighting back against sexual assault!

  1. Great Idea! I am a graduate student in OK. Can I join the other event?

    • Hi Linda,
The Walk a Mile in Her Shoes is a great event, since it is a march for men only, women are always needed for support. The Take Back the night event is for women only and men can support. Both support the fight against sexual assault. You should see if your campus has one of these events. You can find more information at http://www.takebackthenight.org/

Thanks so much for the comment!
